The 14-session program begins Oct. 5 and meets on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m.
Central Sterile Processing Technicians are responsible for the sterilization, packaging and distribution of surgical instruments in hospitals, surgical centers and clinics.
Course topics include anatomy, physiology, microbiology and infection control, decontamination and sterilization processing, and the proper handling, care and identification of surgical instruments.
The material covered during the course will prepare students to sit for the International Certification exam from IAHC-SMM. Students who complete the course with a passing grade of 70 or higher will receive a certificate from NCC.
